Brief Description

High-temperature air and steam gasification (HTAG) test facility

Preheating up to 1300°C possible, a very uncommon level for gasification equipment. Fuels include woody biomass and (plastic) wastes.

Pressurized fluidized bed reactor

Sole bubbling fluidized bed (BFB) research unit in Europe which can handle pressures over 10 bar, hence being very suitable for syngas production and syngas upgrading. High fuel flexibility; previous tests have been conducted with biomass, black liquor, and coal.
