Published Sep 04, 2013

During week 35, several PhD students and professors from Department of Energy Technology traveled to Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) in China for the first intensive summer course on new energy systems. The week’s objective was to propose a sustainable energy system for Chongming Island just north of Shanghai, where local governments have been proposing eco-cities for many years. Participant backgrounds were diverse, coming from several divisions in the department as well as other schools at KTH. During the course a ceremony to officially open the SJTU Swedish Center was held, keeping the door open for future collaborations between KTH and SJTU.
