Country electrification pathways

In Burundi, ~93% of the population does not have access to electricity. UNDESA  and UNDP  in collaboration with  have developed a national investment outlook that will allow the country to achieve universal access to electricity by 2030. The investment requirements vary between 0.36 – 22.7 billion USD depending on the selected electrification approach, which will allow 16.2 million people getting access to modern, reliable and affordable electricity services by 2030.
