A new course of Energy Systems Analysis and Module started at the University of Sierra Leone  at the end of February. The course introduces students at Master level to the grounds of energy and integrated systems analysis using the modelling framework OSeMOSYS. The teaching modules were developed building upon a set of modular, open access teaching material used at the Joint Summer School on Modelling Tools for Sustainable Development , by the OpTIMUS Community , and at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. The creation of the course is one of the outcomes of the project “Energy and Economic Growth (A0534A); National Energy Planning and Policy Support for the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals”, led by Oxford Policy Management Limited  and funded by the UK Government, through UK Aid . The new course is now taking place under the Energy Sector Policy module, but will be stand alone starting next academic year. It is delivered to second year students of MPhil in 'Energy Studies', at the Faculty of Engineering & Architecture, by prof. Samba Sesay and colleagues.
