Brussels, October 29th

The Nexus Project Cluster  and the Executive Agency for SMEs (EASME) co-organised a one-day workshop on “Methods, tools and data for policy support on the Nexus”. The event was held in Brussels on October 29th. Achievements from nexus-related research, including methodological advances, use of tools and data for the development of nexus assessments were presented in the different thematic sessions. The showcased projects addressed several policy domains including both sectoral (e.g. energy, climate, environmental and agricultural), and cross-sectoral (e.g. resource efficiency, circular economy) policies. The event was an important opportunity to interact with different European Commission Services (e.g. DG RTD). The workshop brought together EU-funded projects related to the resource nexus as well as other (non-EU funded) related initiatives. The Nexus Project Cluster has the main objective of stimulating peer-to-peer and science-to-policy discussions on how to get the most out of nexus research for the benefit of society and policy-making.
