Blending creativity, camaraderie, and the irresistible scent of freshly baked delights, the HPT division hosted its first ever Cookie Baking Competition – an event designed not only to satisfy sweet cravings, but also to bring the HPT community closer together.

The competition featured eight skilled bakers from the HPT division namely:

with each skilled baker presenting unique home-made cookies.

All entries were numbered and presented anonymously, and participants and audience members joined in a blind taste test to ensure a fair and enjoyable judging process.

Voters evaluated the cookies based on four key criteria:

  1. Taste

  2. Texture

  3. Appearance

  4. Creativity

The room buzzed with laughter and friendly competition as everyone sampled the diverse selection of cookies. Each entry offered something special – from classic comforting flavours to bold, enthusiastic and imaginative twists.

Excitement peaked when the votes revealed a tie for first place. To break the deadlock, organizers turned to the People’s Cookie Choice Award, where the crowd’s overall favourite cookie ultimately crowned the champion. The baker behind this beloved creation – Supriya , claimed the top title, earning well‑deserved bragging rights until next year’s bake‑off.

This fun‑filled competition exemplified the heart and culture of the HPT division – a place where collaboration, creativity, and a warm community spirit rise just as beautifully as our baked goods. With cookies enjoyed and memories made, the event sweetened the bonds that keep HPT thriving.

Special thanks to Priscila Costa Nascimento   whose initiative, effort and coordination made the event possible.
