The City of Stockholm aims to reduce its consumption based emissions by half by 2030 in comparison with 2019. Reaching this target will require a thorough societal transition - affecting not only how we eat and travel, but also how we live, shop and use the resources at our disposal.
AIMday Sustainable Consumption is organised by the University Alliance Stockholm Trio – Karolinska Institutet, the KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Stockholm University. It will be a unique meeting point where questions of practice meet the latest research. The day will also include opportunities to mingle and meet research funders.
Throughout September, employees of the City of Stockholm will be given an opprtunity to submit challenges related to sustainable consumption. The submitted questions will form the cornerstone of AIMday and set the agenda for workshops that will bring researchers together with the City of Stockholm.
Researchers from Karolinska Institutet, the KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Stockholm University will be given an opportunity to register participants for workshops in October. They will be able to apply for up to 50 000 SEK for initiating new projects or other types of collaboration within sustainable development with the City of Stockholm.
The event will be free of charge for participants.
