KTH Live-In Lab Goes Live

Published Feb 22, 2016

The possibility to research and develop products and services in KTH Live-In Lab was launched on February 12th in the Dome of Visions on KTH Campus.

Discussions about possible and desirable research- and development projects have been under way since the fall of 2014 when the first tests of the shaping of an infrastructure for building- and living research was done. Ever since then have dialogs with researchers, companies and authorities been on-going and has resulted in a testbed which is now being launched for the public to use, transform and develop. It is now time to formulate in text what has previously been discussed in meetings, during seminars and between colleagues over coffee.

Dome of Visions was filled up to its width with interested representatives from the Academy, industry and society. The five speakers Per Lundqvist, Jonas Anund Vogel, Stefan Ränk, Linda Teng and Charlie Gullström presented under an hours’ time the overall thoughts behind KTH Live-In Lab, addressed the challenges, the possibility for research and education and also the pure physical structure of the testbed.
