Workshop on Sino-Swedish EcoCity Cooperation (2014-05-05)

There is a large interest in the Chinese market for exchange of knowledge and technology from Swedish companies, but also many barriers. We believe that KTH can engage in an even stronger cooperation with China in sustainable urban development. For doing this we need to create networks within KTH between PhD students and supervisors and between KTH and Swedish companies.

The workshop will have invited speakers from KTH, companies, and other organizations with experience of cooperation with China. Delegates from Xuzhou University of Mining and Engineering involved in a joint urban development project with KTH will be invited to get practical feed back on their view of the cooperation.

The aim of the workshop is to let people with experiences in cooperation with China meet and discuss project ideas for R&D which can support Swedish companies doing business in China. The seminar will be formed around two concrete projects in the Chinese city Xuzhou, and Wuxi which KTH has been engaged in. The workshop is being organised in collaboration with the Department of Sustainable Development, Environment and Engineering and the Department of Energy Technology with funding from KTH-Sustainability.
