Under the Dome: An Educational Journey into Urban Energy Solutions
The project aims to create a miniaturized model of energy systems for future cities, designed as an educational environment for KTH students.
An artificial sun, consisting of halogen lights will move over a small village consisting of three 3D printed houses. With this realistic scale studies can be performed measuring the harvested solar energy from PV-panels and the thermal response of the houses.

Johan Olsson and Jonatan Nilvall, third-year bachelor students at KTH, have been actively participating and contributing to this work as part of their KEX project. They have designed and built the test bed and performed initial test runs to validate its function.
