Expanding CLEWs to the global scale

Published Jul 15, 2016

In collaboration with the UNDESA

Developed to inform Rio+20 discussions, the Global Climate, Land Use, Energy and Water systems model incorporates material flows into the discussion on the different CLEW interlinkages on a global scale. The model is currently being expanded to assess the intersectoral trade-offs when countries proceed to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. The development methodology with detailed scenario results were published as part of the Prototype Global Sustainable Development Report ( GSDR ). An interactive platform for visualization of global scenarios can be accessed at the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA’s)  web-platform  on modelling tools for sustainable development.
