KTH-dESA at the International Energy Workshop 2016

Researchers from KTH-dESA attended the 35th edition of the International Energy Workshop (IEW) held at Cork, Ireland, between the 1st and 3rd of June, 2016. The IEW is one of the leading conferences for the international energy modeling research community. The presented work addressed the climate resilience of Africa’s energy infrastructure with a special focus on Zimbabwe, to highlight the importance of considering the impacts of climate change while planning largest capacities of hydro infrastructure. Professor Mark Howells also chaired a session on sustainable development comprising presentations focused on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and energy security inSub Saharan African countries.
