Three researchers from KTH-dESA, Gabriela Peña Balderrama, Christopher Arderne and Nicolina Lindblad, attended the International Workshop on Environment & Alternative Energy hosted by NASA and ESA, which took place at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California in October. Gabriela and Christopher presented their joint work on climate adaptation for sustainable development in Bolivia, focussing on the water-energy nexus. This work forms part of Gabriela’s PhD, and a continuation of Christopher’s Master's thesis, for which he was awarded the third prize in the Vattenfall Award 2016 for best thesis in the energy field. Nicolina presented a poster of her work on TEMBA, The Electricity Model Base for Africa.
