Tackling local challenges which can lead to global solutions

On 16th January, KTH President Sigbritt Karlsson inaugurated  KTH Global Development Hub . During the inauguration there were short lectures, a presentation of KTH’s new model for global development and an opportunity at the end to mingle with the participants. KTH’s new strategy to tackle the global challenges, such as clean water and access to energy, prioritise the student and teacher. By means of partnership between KTH and selected sub-Saharan African universities, students and teachers will collaborate on tackling local challenges which can lead to global solutions. Together with our partners, we are developing our joint innovation capacity for the benefit of Sweden and our partner countries. Mark Howells, the Director of KTH-dESA is part of the steering committee of the KTH Development Hub.
