Published Jan 31, 2019

Sarajevo between 4th-5th December 2018

The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina hosted a consultation to explore futures of renewable energy in the Drina River Basin countries. This consultation, a renewable energy Hardtalk , was funded by the Austrian Development Agency under the project “Promoting the Sustainable Management of Natural Resources in Southeastern Europe, through the use of the Nexus approach”. This project uses the Water Convention’s methodological experience on the nexus and the modelling expertise of the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm with the Global Water Partnership Mediterranean as the project's coordinating partner. KTH researchers presented their modelling work for the basin, which was developed in close collaboration with the United Nations-Economic Convention for Europe (UNECE). Representatives from the government and other public and private organisations participated in the HardTalk, which was held in Sarajevo between 4th-5th December 2018.
