Lighting Up Madagascar!

Published Jun 08, 2016

A national investment outlook

In Madagascar, 85% of the population does not have access to electricity. In February 2016, UNDESA in collaboration with KTH-dESA launched a national investment outlook that will allow the country to achieve universal access to electricity. The investment requirements vary between 0.26 – 29.64 billion USD depending on the selected electrification access target. This will allow 36 million people getting access to modern, reliable and affordable electricity services by 2030!
