Long-term energy planning and capacity building for the Republic of Cyprus

On the week of 13th-17th February, KTH-dESA conducted the final workshop of an EC-funded project with the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism in Cyprus, focusing on the achievement of the country's renewable energy and other associated targets. Scenario results were presented to stakeholders from the EC and local authorities and implications arising from the key findings were discussed. The week concluded with a 3-day training session on the OSeMOSYS model that was developed for the conducted analysis. Once received feedback on the outcomes of the study is incorporated into the final report, this will be made available to all relevant stakeholders.
