Potential of integrated management of resource systems in the achievement of sustainable development
The UNECE nexus assessment of the Syr Darya River Basin is now available online . The study, which had the contribution of KTH-dESA, highlights the potential of integrated management of resource systems in the achievement of sustainable development. It also strengthens how trans-boundary cooperation in the integrated management of nexus systems could optimize the use of resources in the region. The preparation of the assessment was financed by the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Other key partners in the project include the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, the Food And agricultural organisation (FAO) and the Global Water Partnership.
