OSeMOSYS at the 7th Workshop of the Open Energy Modelling Initiative

Published Oct 25, 2017

Participation of around 50 modellers

On the 12th and 13th of October, the 7th Workshop  of the Open Energy Modelling Initiative was held at the Technical University of Munich. For the occasion, around 50 modellers gathered to exchange on questions related to open models and data, with a number of short talks and most of the time devoted to work in breakout groups. The experience of the OSeMOSYS community on the establishment of quality control/standards for the development of open source tools was shared in a breakout group, with contributors from different communities. In a more technical session, appropriate simplifications, linearisation techniques and assumptions for modelling nonlinearities in energy storage processes were discussed. The main outcomes of these breakout sessions are available on the Forum of the Open Energy Modelling Initiative.
