SIM4NEXUS workshop in Barcelona

The SIM4NEXUS  consortium convened in a workshop in Barcelona on November 16th to 18th to discuss the status of the different work packages and for specialised meetings to explore the thematic models to be used in the development of the nexus case studies. During the various sessions, the thematic models were presented. KTH-dESA researchers Chris Arderne and Georgios Avgerinopoulos gave a presentation on the Open Source Energy Modelling System (OSeMOSYS) and discussed with the other partners how to optimally use the model generator in the different case studies. Moreover, the case study roadmap was presented and the study leaders had the opportunity to interact with each other and get a better understanding of how to proceed with the stakeholder engagement. The first set of modelling results of the different case studies is expected to be presented by May 2017, with the first stakeholder workshops organised in the final quarter of 2017.
