The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development identified technology and data as key means of implementation. As stressed by the Secretary-General “undoubtedly, ICT has a catalytic role in meeting global challenges, driving economic growth, social progress, and sustainable development. Innovative ICT will play a critical role in achieving the 17 Sustainable goals”. The event - held in Conference room 1 at UN HQ on the June the 7th - informed governments and civil society about the availability of tools and capacity-building opportunities relating to data analytics and visualization to pursue the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. It featured a high-level panel including the Swedish Ambassador, the CEO of  Qlik , UN analysts and KTH-dESA director, Mark Howells.
