The 2018 OSeMOSYS Steering Committee meeting
New decisions taken to support the Community growth
The yearly meeting of the Steering Committee of the OSeMOSYS Community took place on Wednesday, the 6th of June, at the ICTP in Trieste (Italy) as parallel event to the ongoing Summer School on Modelling Tools for Sustainable Development. Twelve people joined the meeting both in person and remotely, from six different institutions. The discussion touched upon several issues on how to speed up the process for setting up an open, accessible, lean platform for sharing information, teaching material and documentation on the OSeMOSYS Modelling Framework and its continuous development by several energy modellers worldwide.Some decisions have been taken on how to structure such platform and what kinds or resources to use for facilitating the active engagement of the Community, which will be implemented in the coming months.
