This week event: OSeMOSYS on the workshop modeling tools for sustainable development

In a collaboration with the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), KTH-dESA team is conducting a week-long workshop on ‘Modeling tools – integrated approaches for sustainable development’ in Istanbul - Turkey. OSeMOSYS will be the topic of module three which will focus on Sustainable Energy. Participants will be introduced to OSeMOSYS and its new web based Interface MoManI and taken through different modeling exercises. The objective of the workshop is to emphasize the importance of an integrated and systemic-approach to modelling, when devising national policies to achieve the SDGs. To this end, open and country-relevant policy-making tools are made accessible to policy makers. The list of participants includes policy makers and UNDP representatives from middle-income economies of central Asia.
