Modelling Tools to Inform National Policies for Sustainable Development and the 2030 Agenda

KTH Division of Energy Systems Analysis in collaboration with the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs ( UNDESA ) and the United Nations Development Program ( UNDP ) conducted a week long training workshop on “Modelling Tools to Inform National Policies for Sustainable Development and the 2030 Agenda” in New York, USA (5-9 December 2016).

KTH dESA researchers trained UNDESA and UNDP staff in an Energy Systems Dynamic model ( OSeMOSYS ) that can assist medium and long-term sustainable energy planning and a Universal Access to Electricity Geo-spatial Model ( ), that uses geo-spatial data to identify the least cost electrification technology for all areas that lack access to electricity.
