"All systems go" at the AEROSPACE TECHNOLOGY CONGRESS FT2025

Researchers from HPT’s turbomachinery group highlighted the most recent developments from three of their research projects at the Aerospace Technology Congress in Stockholm, Sweden October 14-15.
The Congress is well established as the forum for Swedish aerospace technology on a three-year cycle hosted by the Swedish Society for Aeronautics and Astronautics (FTF) and the Swedish Strategic Innovation Programme for Aeronautics (Innovair).
The aim of the congress is to promote research, technical and industrial development in the aerospace sector, and to stimulate graduate and post-graduate education in aerospace. The congress was well attended by Swedish research institutes and international industry representatives.
Three projects funded through Vinnova’s NffP program in collaboration with GKN Aerospace were showcased.
PhD student Carlo Rotundo presented the DARLING project with some of the latest test results from the experimental facility of the project partner in Stuttgart, Germany.
Steffen Hammer gave an overview of the project CARE and the research outcomes from it.
The ADiSS project was finalized with a successful PhD defense by Carlos Tavera in June 2025. Nenad Glodic summarized the project results and highlighted the major conclusions.
Each of the three presentations led to a productive exchange, which emphasized the projects' importance to the aerospace industry.
