KTH Researchers Participate in World Conference on Engineering Thermochemistry in Singapore

KTH researchers from the Heat and Power Technology (HPT) division recently took part in a international conference focused on thermochemical engineering research, strengthening both scientific collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Postdoctoral researcher Hanmin Yang and master’s student Tianyu Liu from the Heat and Power Technology (HPT) division represented KTH at the World Conference on Engineering Thermochemistry , held at the National University of Singapore (NUS) from 25–30 July. The event gathered leading experts from around the world to share the latest advancements in thermochemical engineering and strengthen international collaboration.
During the conference, Tianyu Liu, under the supervision of Hanmin Yang, presented the report:
"Insights into Pyrolysis of Hydrothermal-Treated Cl-Containing Mixed Plastic Waste: Chlorine Transformation and Reaction Kinetics", as part of the European project
FRONSH1P
. The presentation sparked engaging discussions and received constructive feedback from participants.

Both researchers actively participated in panel sessions, while exploring potential opportunities for future joint projects. The conference's well-structured sessions and networking activities provided valuable insights and broadened their research perspectives and inspired new approaches to their ongoing projects.
Following the event, Hanmin Yang and Tianyu Liu plan to integrate these learnings into their ongoing work, refine methodologies, and further develop international partnerships—aiming to deliver high-impact contributions to the field of thermochemical engineering.
