Research at Energy Technology

The Department of Energy Technology aims at contributing to welfare and development through world class research in innovative energy technologies and systems, and promotion of the energy sector transition towards sustainability.

Energy technology covers generally all types of energy conversion and transport in various appliances and facilities.

Research is conducted in various contexts within the energy conversion, power production and the distribution and use of energy. High demands are placed today on energy-technical solutions to be resource-efficient and sustainable from an environmental point of view, as well as from a technical, economic and social perspective.

These requirements are expected to increase significantly in the future, which is why great emphasis is placed on the education promoting the ability for holistic and system thinking, as well as for creative and IT-supported problem solving, often in broader interdisciplinary contexts.
