Strengthening International Collaboration at ASME Energy Sustainability Conference

Our researchers recently showcased their work at the 19th International Conference on Energy Sustainability (ASME ES 2025), held in Westminster, Colorado, USA from July 8–10. The conference brought together global experts to exchange ideas on sustainable energy technologies, and our division was strongly represented with three oral presentations.
Postdoc Parth , together with PhD students Supriya (supervised by Farzin ) and Zanil (supervised by Silvia and Rafael ), presented their ongoing research carried out within European and Swedish research projects. Their contributions reflected the breadth of our division's work in advancing sustainable energy solutions.
-
Supriya presented “Digital Twins for Connected Grids: A Systematic Literature Review,” showcasing her work within the Digital Twin for Smart Grid Connected Buildings project supported by the Swedish Energy Agency.

-
Parth presented “Numerical Design Optimisation of a Compact Heat Exchanger Gas to Molten Salts for High Temperature Heat Pump Integration,” drawing from ongoing research in the I-UPS project .

-
Zanil presented “Technoeconomic Analysis of Transcritical CO₂ Compressor/Expander Heat Pump for Industrial Decarbonisation,” as part of the COMPTHES project .

Their presentations generated significant interest from the American research community, sparking constructive discussions and opening opportunities for future collaborations.
By participating in ASME ES , our division continues to strengthen international networks, disseminate results, and contribute actively to the global dialogue on energy sustainability.
