Grid Planning for Sustainable Harbour Electrification in Oskarshamn
Project Description:
Oskarshamn harbour is undergoing significant development with plans for new terminals and expanded operations. As part of creating a sustainable harbour area, an extended electrification strategy for both land and sea transport needs to be developed to meet future energy demands.
This master thesis project, conducted in collaboration with Smålands Hamnar and Oskarshamn Energi, focuses on evaluating the new electricity demand requirements for the harbour development.
The student will:

Evaluate new electricity demand for the harbour area

Collect load data and generate load curves for daily operations

Investigate with Oskarshamn Energi the demand for new electricity lines

Evaluate the robustness of the electricity grid in the area through load flow analyses based on electric load scenarios
