The Electricity Model Base for Africa (TEMBA)

TEMBA is the world's first model of African electricity supply that represents each continental African country's electricity supply system and transmission links between them. An initial version was first developed to inform the World Energy Outlook of 2014 and was sponsored by SIDA. The model is open source and written in OSeMOSYS. TEMBA is constantly being updated to ensure use of more precise and country-specific data across the continent.
